Project Engineer, SA&S

Join us in welcoming Bret Davis to CoolIT as Project Engineer on the SA&S team! Bret is one of our newest members who will be focusing on all aspects of the commercial and technical requirements for CoolIT’s liquid cooling technology deployments. So far, he is enjoying getting to work with CoolIT’s customers and channel management team to develop solutions.

Bret completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business. He also has achieved the Engineer-in-Training certification from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists and holds a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA). Bret has a unique range of experiences including being a business analyst/project coordinator. He completed a co-op with Imperial Oil where he was able to interact with distributors and clients on a day-to-day basis. This also excelled his experience with Excel, SAP, project management, and customer relationship management. He has also worked for a mechanical consulting firm, Avalon Mechanical Consultants Ltd as a Project Engineer. Here he was able to design and size HVAC and plumbing systems and create designs in AutoCAD. Bret’s range of experiences has allowed him to work with cross-functional teams globally, integrate training packages, manage service requests, and coordinate projects within those roles.

Bret loves to get out and be active and some of his favourite hobbies include golf, cycling, camping, hiking, snowboarding, tennis, and softball. His favourite place to eat is Superbaba and Le Petit Saigon. If you’re ever in Victoria, BC Bret says it is the best modern middle eastern and Vietnamese you can get! When we asked him what else he would be interested in doing with his education, he noted he would be interested in a specialized engineering program geared towards product design and industrial manufacturing as he has always enjoyed being creative.
