The Opportunity

An exciting and challenging position exists as the Team Lead, Channel Sales within CoolIT’s Product Department. As a leader on the team, you will be a key contributor to CoolIT’s continued and aggressive growth, supporting the company’s client relationship and growth strategy with channel partners.

As the Team Lead, Channel Sales, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Enable our client-facing team to develop and foster relationships built on trust
  2. Ensure our clients’ needs are top-of-mind across all aspects of our operations
  3. Deliver valuable products and services to our customers that drive CoolIT’s continued growth
  4. Set the path to scale our high growth business into enterprise high performance computing and enterprise markets via our tier-1 server OEM clients

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that knows our clients’ channel opportunities inside and out;
  • Be the voice and a strong advocate for our clients within the company; continuously strive for and maintain high levels of client satisfaction;
  • Oversee commercial aspects of our client relationships, including opportunity pipeline, contracts, training materials, schedules and escalations;
  • Responsible for CoolIT’s revenue pipeline and forecast targets. Developing growth plans that result in double digit revenue growth;
  • Manages a team of Channel Managers responsible for selling CoolIT product through System Integrators and global IT partners into data centers by RFQ and RFP;
  • Partner with peers in the company to cross-functionally ensure execution on projects;
  • Ensure your team adheres to the selling process across multiple regional markets;
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to generate industry leading sales collateral and proposals;
  • Continuously engage with and learn from the Product and Engineering teams to develop a deep understanding of our hardware and services;
  • Engage regularly in the review and negotiation of various client-related contracts; and
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in account management roles, focused on large enterprise IT companies;
  • 3+ years experience managing teams of 3 or more as well as cross-functional contributors;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of data center and IT markets; awareness of data center cooling strategies considered a strong asset;
  • Passionate about new technologies;
  • A self-motivated individual with a thirst for knowledge that moves fast;
  • Enjoys and contributes to a collaborative culture where nothing is impossible; and
  • Believes in being an ethical and good person, always.
