Highlights

Pioneering Liquid Cooling Solutions for over 20 years

CoolIT Systems was founded with a vision to revolutionize thermal management through innovative liquid cooling solutions. Over the years, the company has grown from a pioneering startup to a global leader in data center cooling technology.

2001

CoolIT Systems is founded. Our initial products are liquid cooling systems for gaming PCs.

2009

CoolIT is awarded a patent for our SplifFlow™ coldplate design - reflecting continuing innovation. First coldplates designed for NVIDIA and ATI (now AMD) graphics cards are shipped.

2012

CoolIT shifts its focus to data centers. Introduces direct liquid-cooled (DLC) servers and first rack-based coolant distribution units (CDUs).

2013

CoolIT develops first coldplate optimized for Intel Xeon data center processors. Our direct liquid cooling (DLC) technology cools the UNVL Cherry Creek supercomputer.

2015

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) project begins with CoolIT, developing new data center cooling products.

2016

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) offers Apollo 2000 high-density, rack-scale HPC servers with an integrated CoolIT DLC option.

2017

Dell EMC (now Dell Technologies) begins selling PowerEdge servers with factory-installed DLC from CoolIT. CoolIT is used in HPC clusters exceeding 30,000 nodes.

2022

CoolIT liquid cooling technology enables Frontier, the world’s first exascale system and 100% fanless direct liquid-cooled design.

2023

KKR and Mubadala acquire CoolIT, providing strategic and financial backing to fuel rapid buildout and growth.

2024

CoolIT massively expands global manufacturing to meet AI-driven surge in liquid cooling demand, and launches a new line of megawatt-class CDUs and the next-generation OMNI™ all-metal coldplate architecture.

2025

Today, we supply our modular liquid cooling products to most of the world's top technology companies.
