Vantage Installed 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hey guys,

I received my vantage today and I have to say that its very easy to install. I had a little hiccup when one of the screws lifted up and popped into place for the 1156 but quickly i noticed it and it snapped into place. I played around with the menu and found it extremely easy to navigate, which is a good thing because my screen was rotated size ways at first. Hopefully this week I will be able to overclock and see how good it really is. Right now its been running around 35 Celsius for the past hour. I did notice that when I hooked it up it was climbing steadily in temperature until I disabled the thermal monitor in the bios like it says to do. I only took one pic but hopefully you will be able to check it out..Thanks Coolit..

Hey Guys,

I have started to do some overclocking and I'm fairly new at it so please bare with me. I have got this running stable from 2.8ghz to 3.5ghz. I will post pictures. One problem I do notice is vantage only reads 45.5 and as you can tell from my pics the temps are actually much higher. I was running prime during this pic but vantage never showed higher than 45.5

Frost,
I just wish to confirm that the reading you are talking about being 45.5C, you are seeing on the Vantage ALC LED display. Is that correct?

If that is correct, that is the coolant temperature of the Vantage ALC, not your CPU processor temperatures.

I will wait for your pictures any questions which will arise. I am interested as the reading you saw for you CPU temperatures while the coolant was at 45.5C.

Hey Goose,

Thanks for clearing up the confusion about what the vantage display actually reads. When the vantage read 45.5 the CPU temp was at 78. I ran a test using Intel burn test and I will post the results. Now that I'm stable at 3.5Ghz I will try within the next day to bump up to 4Ghz. In the picture I have uploaded here the Vantage was running around 42.3. Hope some of this info helps.
