"The Pump is a low flow pump running at 3.5 L/min and about 2.2 L/min under load."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

LOL, interesting, how does the flow slow down under load when the tubing, pump and block resistance doesn't change?

RE: Pumpage, gonna pass on your offer, I have a DangerGen DD-CPX Pro (OCZ branded and $8 cheaper) on the way and will religate the present Freezone pump to backup status again, going to run the pump via my Nexus fan controller by Vantec, it can handle up to 18w per channel, the Dangergen is 800L/hr @17w, so I will need to throttle the flow down a bit....

Thanks...

changed pump to the Dangergen Pro 800L unit with Nexus baybus.....

changed cooling sequence to cpu>rad>pump>eliminator>freezone>back to cpu,

before it was cpu>rad>eliminator>freezone>pump>back to cpu....again, trying to get the coolest fluids to the block....

The AS ceramique needs to settle in again, idling @17*c this AM, full load temps in Everest are down too, 37*c just now, Prime95 runs tax the unit harder, temps rise to 43*c....this is on a system that is running a 965be @3.9gig, 1.5125v.....real hard to 'bubble out" the lines without a reservoir as the dangergen unit does not have fillport access and my fillport design is using 1/4" lines, makes it almost impossible to fill without a reservoir, gonna get a 3way G14 threaded "T" block, two G1/4 1/4" nozzles to pass the fluids straight through, and the 1/2" for the short fillport "T" line will allow bubbles to float to the high point for bleeding a whole lot easier......the original Freezone pumps have their pluses, for sure with the 'bubbling out" of air in the system....

i had to stick a wire (straightened paperclip)in the 1/4" fillport nozzle and wiggle it to get the fluids to flow everytime I topped it off, just too restrictive for gravity feed and too much of a chance for leakage from dribbles and WAY to SLOW, thus the 6" long 1/2" fillport conversion later (replacing the now 1/4" line)on for easier bubble removal...I finally had to resort to pulling one line off (using these reusable nylon locking clamps, real slick), using a purge line to a temporary reservoir while filling the opened line with fluids pumped in with a turkey baster as it has a perfect 5/16" to 3/8" end, the tubing slides onto the nozzle so one can force fluids through, even then, it took four or five sequences to get the air out, chancing fluid leakage everytime....

as others have reported, it is a slick conversion, pump is silent @7v, just barely audible @12v.......

woohoo, down to 16*c idling now......

I might add for those who are contemplating a change, I got the 800L/hr unit which is WAY overkill, if you don't have a reobus to dail the pump down it may lead to disappointment....

the 500L/hr unit would probably still be overkill, the flow is about the same without the reobus @12v as thee 800 is @7 (500L/hr versus 466L/hr).....

given what I know now, the best option is the 500L/hr unit on a reobus, that way you would be able to dial 290L/hr @7v, 500L/hr @12v....the 290L/hr is closer to the Coolit pump figures(around 200/230L/hr) and one can dail it up from there....the original principal of slower moving fluids still applies for maximum cooling with pelts....at the higher flow like I am experiencing right now it is hard to tell as I have a radiator which makes my system kinda like a hybred, if the fluids move a bit too fast, the radiator w/fannage still does its thing as if it was water only....no pelts...it gets a little confusing trying to determine what is upski.....

going to change to the 500L/hr unit later on for further testing, but I know it would be better, also contemplating a small reservoir, since I have to completely disassemble my rig to a bare box everytime I refill now....a pain..

all these dangergen flow figures are assuming a 1/2" system, one must factor that a 1/4" system is going to slow the flow a bit, I say maybe 15/20% less, even then, the 800L unit is still pumping close to 400L/hr @7v, 640L/hr @12v, factoring a 20% friction loss.....so many figures, so many options, added flow considerations from running a dual/stacked Coolit unit and added rad.....applying the same 20% loss to the 500L unit and the figures come in @230L/hr @7v (sounds familiar, very close to the stock Coolit pump figures) and 400L/hr @12v.......the reobus is then your best friend.... . I need a break..... LOL

I strongly advise that one should use a reobus when upgrading to a higher flow pump, the MTEC controller may need it to operate properly without going wacko at real high flow rates...I am not running with a MTEC unit so I can't verify.....
