Right....

So I have two options here... Firstly. I have found a place here in England that will calibrate the driver I bought to 10 in/lbs. (Equal to 1.13nM). This will cost me around 15 dollars or so to get it calibrated. Plus I have to ship it to the company and back. So all in all it will end up costing me around 40 to 50 bucks. Not bad really when you consider that that driver is normally around 180 bones.

Second option is to buy the driver that prada showed in that ebay auction. Theoretically I would not need to get that one calibrated as it is adjustable. That one is 45 dollars so basically for around the same price I get an adjustable one. Hmmmmm

If I buy the other one then I need to sell on the non-adjustable one.

--------------------

As far as the build goes... Got my case back from the powder coater and it looks pretty decent. We had a problem with one of the door panels and I am still trying to get that sorted out. I will update with some more pictures soon.

I checked out your Chill Pill project. Nice work!

Just an update from me.... Been busy.. but unfortunately not busy building my rig. I actually bought that driver that Prada posted up on that widget. It has been shipped to my Dads house in MN and now I am just waiting for him to ship it to me. Below is a few pics as to what I HAVE gotten accomplished to date.

***********

Well... No updates recently due to the fact that I ran into real drama. My powdercoater really F'ed up my case.

I shoulda known better. The local guy I hired must only do huge commercial grade projects because A: The finish is not great overall on my case. B: He royally Screwed my side panels. He blamed it on the Anodizing... or some sort of chemical being released from the metal. Anyway... they coated one door 3 times and it looks like ASS. Not only that there is so much buildup on the door panel that I cannot even put the friggin' thing back on. The worst part is that the door he had the problem with is the window side. Then the guy had the balls to tell me when I came it to pick it up that I owed him 300 quid!!!!!!!! This is after telling me that our original quote was 80, when I KNOW he said 60. So i slapped 60 quid on the table, grabbed the side panel, walked out while saying... "Shove it up your ass!"

I am sort of hoping for a backup plan here. I am most likely going to have to get this thing chemically dipped to remove the first 3 failed attempts. Then I am going to have to sweet talk someone to powdercoat a single side panel RAL9005 satin for me.

In other news... Here are some things that ARE going well. lol

I finished braiding my PSU. With RED braiding... not PINK...lol

I also painted my 92mm silverstone fans to match, just like my Noctuas. I can't really be bothered to upgrade the 92 mils. They are there to move the air around, and are not THAT important. They seem quiet enough, and should be adequate.

I also redid the daisy chains on the rad fans. They now have braiding in between each fan as wel. I have decided that I am going to wire in a socket to plug the HD Caddy fan into the wire for easy removal.

And lastly... This is what the case itself looks like... At least most of the outside looks good!

And here is the Mobo Tray with the MOBO attached.
(MOBO Still to receive new blocks!!!)

And finally... We are getting CLOSER to looking like a PC!

Thats all for now.

So...

And update to my PowderCoat drama.
Marcus has said that the only way that I could get this thing repainted was to basically strip the paint off this thing. I had two options... the first was to get it chemically dipped. The 2nd was to use Nitromors to try and remove the coating myself. The problem with option 1 is that is costs money (Money I don't have.) So I decided to roll with the Nitromors. I had no idea how much work it was gonna be. I seriously want to send a bill to the powdercoaters for the hours I put into removing the paint. Unbelievable.

Anyway... Below is the process and the results.

This stuff is the DB.

First couple of coats didn't seem to do much.

This was after about 3 coats.

Really starting to make some progress now.

When the paint actually came off I used a razer scraper... The paint itself looked like rubber latex. It was bizarre. It was like I heatshrinked my side panel!

After about 15 coats I started with the pressure washer. Seriously... 15 coats. After I pressure washed I did a couple more Nitromors coats, and then pressure washed again.

Here she is... all polished up... and ready to be painted again. Uhhhhg.

Looks like new!

I also did a bit more braiding. I braided my PCI-E power cables. When I started I was originally intending to braid these cables exactly like I did my PSU... Singly for 15 cm and then grouped together in the middle. I however thought it looked messy. I opted to paint my cables all black under and then braid over the top. Photos below.

I also got around to braiding my pump.

That's all for now!

Nice work... With that case I would add at least 2/3 additional Freezones Elites.... 2 will fit at the bottom and the third in your bays... I'm all about overkill...
