Data Centers

The ECO II–1U and the ECO II–2U are products specifically targeted for data center servers allowing for tremendous performance advantages in standard server form factors.

The data center industry has been very progressive in thinking about energy conservation and new strategies for free cooling in new data center architecture, but not necessarily providing enough technological support to extend the life of existing data centers.  There are many existing data centers that have many years of service left in them as long as proper thermal and environmental strategies are leveraged to increase compute capacity without increasing total power consumption.

CoolIT's technology has been maturing over the last several years to the point where our cooling systems can be incorporated into 1U appliances and therefor enable them to support higher power processors and benefit from reduced fan power.   CoolIT's technology can also allow for a much higher ambient temperature without sacrificing density in the equipment they specify.  This can allow the cooling burden to drop dramatically for the facility costs.  Conversely, if the demand is for a high density, dual 12 core CPU's in a single 1U, that can be a viable option with the use of the high efficiency 1U cooling solution CoolIT has just created!

CoolIT has some very exciting data center Cooling systems in progress that will drop as much as 70% of the total Cooling costs in a data center with the ability to increase the rack density up to over 30kW per rack.  In the near future, IT Managers are going to want to work with CoolIT technology to save money on both new facilities as well as operating costs.
