TheJon,

When i open up the control center to set everything up and i click the predictive cooling button and set the temp to 0c will the MTEC keep the Boreas from cooling below ambient? is that what you are refering to?
If that is the cause then that is what i am doing wrong. I have an 18 hour day here at work today so im not going to be home till midnight but i will get those screen shots tonight.

TheJon,

After waking up this morning i decided to do more testing. I set the predictive cooling to 50c and let it run like that and played some CoD MW2 online and this is what i came up with.

here is a screen shot just a few seconds after i got off of the game.

and here is a screen shot after the system got back to idle after the game.

Even with the predictive cooling set to 50c and running at 40% TEC and FAN power 100% of the time the CPU max temp only got up to 35c max. right now at idle the CPU temp is
wanting to stay around 23c with the TEC and FAN power staying at 40%. Also i noticed that when i enable advanced settings the main window with the temps and power levels
always says the mode is Predictive Cooling. Right now i am running Windows 7. At this point i am starting to think that there is either something wrong with my MTEC controller OR
there is a setting that i have not changed that is letting me get below ambient temps.

Thanks,
LiquidDragon

I did a little more testing tonight and this is what i found. when the system is at 100% for the TEC and FAN power the two red cables coming from the MTEC CC 4 pin molex cable show a steady 11.99VDC and the two black cables coming from the MTEC CC 4 pin molex cable show 0VDC. when i change the value and the system goes to 40% i still get 12VDC on the red cable but the black cables go up to about 6VDC. I am not sure if this is what i am suppose to see but its what i am getting and it seems like good readings to me. From what i was seeing it looks like the ground reference increases to lower the power going to the TEC's which makes since BUT i still cant figure out why I cant get my coolant temps below 20c. I am also confused because at idle it looks like my CPU temps are colder than my liquid temps and i would think it should be the other way around. anyone have any ideas?
