CoolIT Systems

I just opened the beginning of my second build. The base is a Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced. I have not decided on hardware specs with both Intel and AMD slated to release their six core CPUs just around the corner.

However projected cooling setup is as follows.

Duel Freezone Elites for the CPU through MTEC
240 Omni ALC 5870 Crossfire.
120 Omni ALC for Chipset and MOSFETs.





I'm looking forward to dealing with CoolIT again through this build. They were very helpful through my first build.

Can't wait to see what you throw together. Sure, you could go high end Intel, but an AMD 6 core coupled with a 5970 would set this off nicely.

When i first heard of the 5970 being release, I wanted one as bad as a little boy on Christmas. Then I heard how big the prick was and said screw it. I would have to buy a full size tower just to house the card; not worth it, plus a full size case is too big for me.

Just need to get a hold of Jon or Barry at Cool It.

Man, my bank account doesn't like me living 4 hours away from Cool IT.

I was just taking a shot because looking at your case, if you were to plug on into a lower pci-e x16 slot, it should fit below the hard drive bays. At least that's what it looks like from you pic, but of course, I could be wrong.

And actually, 2 5850's match the performance of one 5970 from what I understand. But if you're going dual 5870's, then of course, that should be an even fast solution.
